Green is the colour of hope, of new beginnings and of growth. So this colour was very appropriate for this wedding in Mallorca, which was all about a new beginning for two people, in their new life together and the growth of their love for each other.
Adding unique and personal details to your wedding isn’t just fun, but they can help make your special day even more memorable for you and your guests. As you may know, anything customized can be costly and time-consuming so we thought we’d share an idea that’s both budget-friendly and easy!
Protea flowers are a popular choice when it comes to wedding decor because they are versatile and make a statement. With 1600 species of protea to choose from, measuring up to 12 inches in diameter, you’ll be sure to find one that compliments your wedding colors and theme.
If you want a more minimalistic look, try pairing the protea flower with simple greenery. This will highlight the focus flower without being over-the-top. For a more dramatic bouquet, pair the protea with other vibrant colors and unique textures. A boho chic look can even be created by pairing this unique flower with palm leaves or succulents.

Planning a wedding? Then it’s likely that you’re planning a budget—even if your event is a very small affair. And if you’re including all the usual suspects in your wedding planning, then you’re likely making room in your budget for flowers.
Flowers are something that are typically included in wedding planning, even if you leave out some of the other add-ons. That’s because the couple getting married usually has some sort of flower that they hold or pin onto clothing. That flower can be a way to add a unique color or texture. Or if the flower has meaning for the couple, it can be a great way to include that sentimental approach in your wedding planning.
There’s no such thing as “wedding season” anymore. Weddings are year-round, with many couples looking to monopolise a trend, theme or style for their big day. If you’re attending a wedding in the coming months, you’ve probably already planned out what you’ll be wearing. It’s an important day after all and the best excuse to hit the shops and find a new head to toe outfit.
After picking out a gorgeous dress (careful you don’t upstage the bride – unless you are the bride!) and some equally stunning footwear, you’ll be looking at how to accessorize in a stylish way to tie the ensemble together. This is often the hardest part. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Follow this advice, because there’s no more sure-fire way to make a statement than landing the right wedding hat.
The wedding reception is your chance to celebrate with your friends and family, from getting down on the dance floor to enjoying your wedding cake. However, sometimes your guests will want a break from dancing or chatting with friends, which is why it’s great to always have other options for entertaining your guests.
Have you been given the task of organising a hen party or bridal shower? No pressure, right?! As you’ve probably already guessed, there are a lot of plates to spin to ensure everyone, especially the bride-to-be, has the best possible experience.
Once you’ve booked the perfect venue, sourced or made all the decorations and stocked the fridge with plenty of bubbly it’s time to start thinking about some fun activities to keep everyone in the party mood.

The best part? Designing your own may be a lot easier than you think plus, you get to customize every detail.
So you bought a wedding gift off your friend’s registry, and searched long and hard for the perfect wedding card to match. While you may have found a great card, when it comes to writing the message inside, it can be a bit more difficult. Even though your wedding is just one day, the memory of it lasts forever. Every meticulous detail that you have worked tirelessly to put into place, won’t go unnoticed. It lives on in people’s minds, is talked about for years and is documented by the pictures you and your guests take.
As a season of sunshine, beautiful flowers, and lush green landscapes, summer is the perfect time of the year to say “I do” in the great outdoors. Get hitched without the fear of unpleasant and uncomfortable glitches by making sure to include these five essentials in your outdoor summertime wedding.
Even the mildest of summer days can quickly lead to dehydration if you stay out in the sunshine too long. Keep you, your new spouse and in-laws, as well as your wedding guests hydrated and refreshed by setting up hydration stations at your wedding venue.
Do you want big and formal or small and intimate? The style of your wedding dictates how many people you’ll want to attend. If you like the idea of a lot of guests but have a limited budget, think about having a cocktail-style reception rather than an expensive plated dinner.

Ana and Pablo’s wedding took place in Spain with a beautiful rustic theme. Ana was working in New York and Pablo was a professional photographer. When they met in Alicante, the attraction between the couple was so strong that Ana decided very quickly to return to Spain. Four years later, he proposed in Central Park.
And the wedding… it took place on the Spanish mainland and accurately reflected the personalities of the couple. The wedding magazine Telva reported that it was relaxed, fun and there was a lot of attention to detail, as you would expect from a memorable wedding on Mallorca.

Are You Looking Forward to Celebrating Your Marriage in Mallorca? Congratulations!
Many people come to Mallorca to get married. However, non-residents who do not live in Spain are not allowed to marry in a civil ceremony. Therefore many couples decide to have the civil wedding in their country of origin or residence, and hold a second, religious or symbolic (also known as a wedding blessing), ceremony in Spain.
Ideally it should be once you have chosen your gown and the bridesmaids’ dresses. There are no set rules for timing, as all weddings are different, but preferably you should leave at least a couple of months before the day, to make sure everything is planned to perfection and ready in good time.
2015 was our first year attending the Momad Wedding Show in Madrid. We found it extremely beneficial, and although we were not blown away, there were still enough good elements to make the trip worthwhile. The event is a must attend wedding show for wedding couples, wedding consultants, wedding planners, and wedding professionals. Reception venues, photographers, make-up and beauty care products, catering services, wedding cars, decor ideas, and bridal registry and bridal wear were showcased by the exhibitors in this show.
You’ll want your cake, favours and cookies to look divine, so book a tasting session with your cake maker to ensure they taste as good as they look.
Having a candy cart or sweets trolley at your reception is right on trend but why not take it a step further and have a desserts table? Display plates of cupcakes, bowls of Bon Bons and jars of tasty biscuits to tempt your guests. Keep to your wedding day colour by making everything on the table shades of one colour. Or, if you adore all things bright then pick a zingy colour like lemon drop yellow or apple red or mix up the colours!
B’s lifelong dream of getting married finally came true last September, when he and his fiancé F. exchanged vows by the Mediterranean Sea in an intimate sea view ceremony. When he and F. decided to tie the knot, they felt strongly that an intimate setting would be best for their wedding day. The 17th century rural hotel provided the couple with the perfect venue for their celebration and its private terraces served as the ideal backdrop for a romantic photo session.
They ended the day with a romantic dinner accompanied by champagne – a beautiful and fitting end to the perfect day!
You’ll want to say a personal and sincere thank you to everyone who has come to your wedding and generously given you a gift. And a written thank you is expected even if you said thanks in person at the wedding.
Writing out a hundred plus thank-you cards is time consuming and it’s a job that both you and your partner should tackle together. The easiest way for you to thank your friends and family and for him/her to do the same. Split joint friends between both of you.
The Mediterranean culture has had a profound impact on the world in the form of cuisine, music and, of course, décor.
From characteristic olive trees and leaves and patio furniture, to popular stucco walls and terracotta flooring – the Mediterranean influence is everywhere. One thing to keep in mind is that Mediterranean people are especially attentive to their outdoor spaces. Because most of the region experiences warm and sunny weather, people spend a lot of time outside. Native pottery, sheer curtains, plush comfortable pillows and plenty of outdoor seating are all important when adding a Mediterranean style to your wedding. The other day we found this Mediterranean inspired wedding shoot at Style Me Pretty. Seems like the perfect inspiration for a pretty Mediterranean wedding in Mallorca. Love the rosemary and olive branch combination.
Want your wedding favours to be pretty and practical? Instead of sending your guests home with trinkets that are likely to sit around collecting dust, give them a treat they won’t be able to resist digging into.

Same-sex marriage in Spain has been legal since 2005.
However, two non-resident foreigners cannot marry in Spain, as at least one of the partners must be a Spanish resident, although they both may be non-Spanish citizens. Therefore many couples opt for the wedding blessing which can take place in hotels, beach restaurants, yachts or other kind of venues. The service is the same as a church wedding but is not legally binding so you would have to manage the legal part in your country.
According to the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE), 27,357 same-sex marriages took place up to the end of 2012. Most same-sex marriages in 2011 took place in Catalonia (886 weddings), Madrid (729 weddings) and Andalusia (484 weddings). Since its legalization, couples from a cross-section of Spanish society have entered into gay marriage. Within the first year, an influential socialist leader and Madrid city councilor Pedro Zerolo married Jesús Santos in January, and popular TV presenter Jesús Vázquez married Roberto Cortés in March. According to the Ifop poll (conducted in May 2013) 71% of the Spanish population supported allowing same-sex couples to marry and adopt children.
